Drawing from my background as a dancer, which spanned 15 out of 22 years of my life. I embarked on a creative journey that challenges traditional perceptions of ballet attire & celebrates the boundless possibilities of artistic expression. "reverse ballerina" reimagines the iconic tutu as an adornment for the upper half of the body, rather than the customary lower half. This conceptual twist serves as a playful exploration of the transformative power of fashion & the fluidity of identity. Central to the series is the meticulous craftsmanship needed to create the top. It required over two weeks of fine hand-sewing.
